Are there stories of meeting a dead dog in it's next life?

So my dog died last night and I can't begin to explain the thoughts that have passed through my mind during the last 24 hrs. I've asked myself questions like if I make it to heaven if I'll see my dog there too..But despite that, one thought that brought me some hope although crazy made me feel a little better while I'm trying to cope with this loss. My question is..Are there stories of people losing a pet and then later down the road meeting another dog which they felt an intense connection with? As if they knew this dog in a previous life or maybe if that is your dog in it's next life (if there even is such a thing)? Please have some sympathy. I know people have different opinions but I am grieving so maybe I can get some good supportive answers? Thanks a lot guys.
