I upgraded access to internet today and am dissatisfied?

Today I had a notice to upgrade my internet connection. I followed the instructions. The best I recall it stated it was "Internet 9" or something like that. Now, it takes about a minute for my icon to access Yahoo and WestLaw. I wish I had not tried the so-called "upgrade." Thak you.
