How do you think mockingjay (from the hunger games) should have ended?

The ending was really good plot wise, with prim dying and everything. However, it was awful how gale was just tossed aside, with no real good bye, even though he was one of the most important characters. I had no problem with Finnick dying(though he was my favorite) other than it was rushed. No moment of sadness really presented itself, unlike prim.
