T3i has a foggy viewfinder?

Alright. So I am not NEW in having a DLSR, I have had one for the past 6 months and took probably around 5k images (I am trigger happy). So I decided that I would upgrade for my birthday and my camera arived today. I got the t3i, yay. But there seems to be a problem. The viewfinder is foggy, and the information like the ISO and framerate is blurry. I am near sighted, though I very might doubt this is the problem. Anyways, foggy, don't know why. The screen shows a far superior picture than the viewfinder, which is strange, and I very much am dissatisfied with that aspect. Is this a faulty camera or am I doing something wrong?
