My cat just had kittens this afternoon and she's completely ignoring them?

she had 5 but 1 died. is she grieving? she's the basement under the bed and her kittens are two feet away on a towel. her food and water is near too. she lets ppl touch them and when they move them towards her, she doesn't do anything???
